2013 April/May Professional Development

Professional Development.... so what have you done for yourself lately.  I'm always inviting you to do this and do that, but what are you doing?  If you are depending on newspaper articles or daily email digests, perhaps radio and television news to keep you informed, you are missing out.  If you are not a person that attends very many NAIFA meetings, only going to an occasional CE session, perhaps you need to discover NAIFA!  Your association has an amazing amount of opportunities just waiting for you to experience.  Let’s start with the Leadership Academy, here you will see more than the tip of the iceberg. 
Once you start to see what NAIFA is doing to become your back office, your advocate, and your teacher, then you may gain a better understanding of what NAIFA is doing for you.  It's all there right at your finger tips.  So, if you want a local class to earn your LUTCF, ask your Board to get a class together, because you aren't the only one desiring a class.  Or, if you want to go at your own pace, do it online!  The American College is offering you classes every week, for the LUTCF and FSS designations. 

Improve your competencies and earn your CLU, ChFC, or CFP designations.  Knowledge is power, and in a world where things seem to change year to year, it's important to remember that you have to be a lifelong learner.  If you aren't brushing up your skills, you are working with old information, which could come back to haunt you!

Don't wait any longer to get started, your association has done all the ground work for you.  Now it's your turn to take that next step forward to be the best Insurance Agent you can be!
